Facilities

The school is an interesting blend of older, character buildings and modern, state of the art facilities. Located in our modern well-equipped building are the Design and Technology Faculty and Learning Resources Centre, stocked with an impressive range of reading materials, supported by computer facilities and will be an ever-popular place for students both in and out of lesson time. The school Arts building boasts of further computer suites, spacious art studios and a drama studio complete with stage lighting and sound equipment. The campus activities are monitored through CCTV cameras. The school is guarded round the clock by adequate number of security guards not only at the gate but also all across the campus. Arrangements for safeguarding the students are effective and well integrated into the work of the school.

Library

The school has a well-stocked library which will cater to the needs of the junior, Middle and senior students. The vast collection of books, journals, periodicals, magazines will be replenished from time to time thus making the place the most interesting destination for the students. The library books include some of the master pieces in English and local languages which will satisfy the appetite of readers of all age groups.

Computer Lab

Communication is the key to success. It’s not the only one, but it does play a crucial role in the success of any person. The accommodation of a separate language lab in our school is a step ahead in making our students more confident in their approach while conversing. We also have interactive boards that play a vital role. The spacious lab can accommodate up to 35 students in it at one time.

Music/Dance Rooms

The Music room is equipped with a wide range of musical instruments for learning Eastern and Western Music providing children with a variety of learning experience in Music. Whether it’s rock or classical, we offer the opportunity to learn to play a wide range of musical instruments and the chance to demonstrate those new skills in one of the shows which will be organized during the year. Children will explore their rhythmic talent while they learn various dance forms from both genres Eastern (classical) and Western. The students will be instructed and mentored by dance professionals.

Digital Learning – AV Room/Smart Class

The school provides Digital Learning Environment for students With Smart classrooms. The audio-visual room is fitted with state-of-the-art technology. We have a set of knowledgeable and helpful staff who help to address any issues regarding the working of any equipment and helps students to set up the learning sessions with the teachers. The room also has wireless and broadband internet convenience.

Medical facilities/Infirmary

Children will be children! Bruised knees and elbows, the occasional ill health on campus are all part of school life. We understand how important it is to have medical aid close on hand in an educational institution. We have a well-equipped infirmary where first aid is administered, and a nurse is on-call all through the day.

Computer Aided learning

As we believe in the digital world, so we have a well-equipped computerized laboratory with 24-hour high speed internet connection. The State-of-the-Art Computer Lab with the latest configuration computers provides computing facilities and broadband Internet connectivity. All computers are fully loaded with the latest software so that students can easily engage with technology and learn new techniques as well. It assists students in projects and research assignments.

Proposed Activities In Comming Years

Horse Riding

Students will learn horse riding at BMWIS and will be guided and monitored by qualified instructors. The course includes four riding sessions and four practical horse management lectures per week. The riding sessions will include:

How to mount & dismount as well as basic controls of the horse The correct riding position in walk, trot and canter Introduction to riding ‘Have a go’ session in Vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) basics on the static barrels followed by work on the horses Introduction tojumping and course work for more experienced riders Having fun and direct contact around the animals and in nature!

Rifle Shooting

In the coming years a Rifle shooting range will be set-up for students to learn long range Rifle shooting as an activity. Rifle shooting is a collective group of competitive and recreational sporting activities involving proficiency tests of accuracy, precision and speed in using various types of ranged weapons, mainly referring to man-portable guns (air guns in forms such as handguns and rifles). Different disciplines of shooting sports can be categorized by equipment, shooting distances, targets, time limits and degrees of athleticism involved. This activity will be closely monitored by trained professionals and the students will receive first hand instructions from them. The Rifle Shooting activity may involve both team and individual competitions, and team performances will usually be assessed by summing the scores of the individual team members.

Swimming pool

More Than Mere Exercise, We take great pride in our school infrastructure and our swimming pool will be designed to meet all health and safety guidelines. Qualified staff will maintain a high degree of cleanliness and proper water chemistry in our pool at all times. Students will always be under the watchful eyes of trained lifeguards and will be strongly discouraged from breaking pool rules to ensure the best swimming experience for everyone.
